The Point Spread Column

Last week there were 6 home dogs on the board and they went 4-2. The only two that didn't cover were the Bengals and Texans. The Niners and Ravens had plenty of systems on them, but I could not pull the trigger on teams with such horrid current form. I can just hear the moaning from clients if I took those two teams. But, look what they did. The woeful Ravens upset Pittsburgh and the Niners played Seattle to within 2 points in a 27-25 loss. Both teams covered easily! From a handicapping standpoint, it is very difficult to recommmend such teams even when they lie within proven handicapping systems that point to them covering. Basketball clients got an early bird winner in college basketball. We will start it full time next month. But, now it is time to chomp down on some good turkey and hope that the football gods favor us this week.
